Wright

WRIGHT | Vino Rosato

Description

Brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright were the first men able to fly building a biplane in 1903. At the beginning of the winemaking story of our family, Giovanni Brannetti's winery and his first small vineyard were located in Ciampino, via Fratelli Wright, where we still have a small shop since 1946. We called this rosé wine "Wright" because it represents our "first flight" and our drive for new challenges and experiments. We wanted to find a vine variety capable of expressing the richness of our territory. We bet on Merlot. The grapes are picked, collected in cases and immediately pressed, giving a light rosé wine with copper reflections. Then a 10 months ageing in steel period follows, during which we practice bâtonnage once a week. After the bottling, we let Wright age for at least 6 months before selling it: this 16 months ageing grants the elegant expression of mineral notes, which are very intense. Only a few bottles available. The colour of Wright is blue, the blue of sky and freedom.
